Condolences

Condolence From: Dean Tzountzouris
Condolence: I am saddened to read of the passing of Mark. My condolences to the family. I met Mark when he was a regional manager with Country Style Donuts. He became my regional manger for my Lindsay location. We quickly became friends and enjoyed sharing stories and the different things we had done in our lives. One of my fondest memories with Mark was when he took me to the air field near Ceasarea and we flew a Ultra Lite. It was an experience and thrill to never be forgotten. I crossed paths with Mark last year at the Oakwood arena and he told me all about his life on the farm. It was great to hear that he had found his happy spot with a special lady. Dean Tzountzouris

Condolence: My deep regards to Irma and all of the Sanderson family.
I too like everyone else was shocked to have a friend taken away at this time of Marks life. He and I had many great times camping and flying together at the SOGA field. He was always there to help however he could at our friendly competitions. We got along really well working together on carpentry projects that I had him help me with and on projects at his cottage. We worked as one with lots of laughs and sore muscles. Mark always would comment that we should start a small construction business together laughingly making up names for it , like " Geriatrics Construction Guys " or variations of that as we had a beer at the end of the work day, moaning and groaning, but back at it the next morning like a couple of " young bucks " as he always said we were ! HA!
I Will miss you alot Mark !

Condolence: We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Maks passing, Our deepest sympathies to Irma, Marilyn and families.
When I think of Mark, I remember he always had a big smile when he saw me,he would say “Vonnie” and give me a big hug.
He had an enthusiasm for life, Irma, Ben (according to Mark the smartest and best dog in the world), Sanderson Island, hang gliding, the list goes on and on!
Having Mark as a friend literally my whole life, from our earliest childhood on, its hard to imagine not spending more time with him, or hearing one more story, he will certainly be missed and never forgotten.

Condolence: I met Mark in my early years of Hang Gliding nearly 40 years ago. He quickly became one of my best friends as we had a lot in common. We are the same age, share the same first name and both have a strong passion for flying and other adventure seeking. He was always fun to be around and definitely the life of the party. He was an usher in my wedding party. We shared many memorable weekends together at his family's Island cottage. Not too long ago he offered me a carpentry job with him at Osler Bluff. It was an honor for me to be able to work side by side with him for that week or so. Mark was a kind, thoughtful, gentle soul and to say he will be missed is a huge understatement. Although I haven't seen him a lot lately, I have always considered him one of my best friends. My wife says Mark was always so positive that it's hard to picture Marks face without seeing a big smile. We were both so shocked to hear of his passing. It's so hard to believe that I wont see him again in this lifetime but I do look forward to our best flying together ever, someday in the future.
I miss you already dear friend.

Our sincere condolences to all of Mark's family.

Condolence: Miss you already Mark!

I have known Mark for many years, always had a great time with his funny character, the places we ended up and the shenanigans we got involved in... usually some sort of aviating and post-aviating around a fire.

You will not be forgotten my flying Brother.

See you in Valhalla...
